16 February 2009 - In a contract worth USD seven figures, Celcom has replaced its current systems with Intec’s advanced convergent mediation solution, to support its strategic market growth strategy.
London/Barcelona/Kuala Lumpur, February 16th 2009: Intec, a global provider of business and operations support systems (BSS/OSS), announced today that Celcom, one of Malaysia’s leading network operators, has implemented its Total Service Mediation Solution. In a contract worth USD$ seven figures, Celcom has replaced its current systems with Intec’s advanced convergent mediation solution, to support its strategic market growth strategy.
With Intec’s mediation solution, Celcom will gain full convergent mediation capabilities, thereby enabling the operator to more rapidly deploy new services, essential to help capture a larger share of the market. The operator will use the technology to gather, process and distribute usage data from its network in real-time and, in addition, Celcom will also be able to implement its own business rules for mediation processing through a powerful but simple to use interface. This will give the Celcom the flexibility and scalability it requires to support new service launches, and also significantly improve productivity within the overall billing process.
“We are proud to be a key technology partner contributing towards Celcom’s continued market growth especially as they launch more innovative new services, delivering a superior customer experience,” concluded Graeme Paynter, Intec VP for Asia Pacific. “Intec’s convergent solutions are proven in many of the world’s carriers supporting hundreds of millions of events every day, and we look forward to making a significant contribution to Celcom’s exciting market growth plans and success.”#
